Strawberry Frosting FAQs

Where can I buy freeze-dried strawberry powder?

You can purchase bags of freeze-dried strawberry powder at Amazon and other retailers. You might also find it in some grocery stores by the dried fruit, dates, or snack aisles.

Some stores only sell it in the form of slices instead of powder. You can always blend/food process it down into a powder yourself. And if you don’t have a blender or food processor, you can add the slices to a plastic baggie and use a rolling pin to break up the chunks.

What can I substitute freeze-dried strawberry powder for strawberry frosting?

For this recipe, you can substitute in a few tablespoons of strawberry jam (adjust to taste). The color may not be as pink, but you can always add in a tiny drop of pink/red gel food coloring.

How long does the strawberry cream cheese frosting last?

It can last in an airtight container in the fridge for up 5 days. Feel free to rewhip.
