To make homemade fairy bread from scratch, you’ll need the following ingredients:

How to Make Fairy Bread

Step 1: Spread softened salted butter onto bread.

Dipping buttered white bread into hundreds and thousands.

Step 2: Dip into nonpareils (aka hundreds and thousands). Cut into squares or use cute cookie cutters for different shapes. Enjoy!

Storage

Fairy bread is best enjoyed day of. You can store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Eat at room temperature.

Equipment

  • butter knife
  • cookie cutters optional, I used bear cutters!

Ingredients 

  • 1 slice (25 g) soft white bread
  • 1 tablespoon (14 g) salted butter softened
  • nonpareils

Instructions 

  • Spread softened 1 tablespoon (14 g) salted butter on 1 slice (25 g) soft white bread.
  • Add generous amount of nonpareils onto a plate. Press buttered side of bread face-down onto nonpareils, making sure it's completely covered in sprinkles.
  • Cut into classic triangles or use cookie cutters for fun shapes!

Notes

Variations and substitions:
If you want to try a different flavor, swap out the Nilla wafers for other cookies, like graham crackers, Oreos, or chocolate chip cookies. 
For the toppings, you can use roasted crushed nuts, whipped cream, etc.
