Equipment

Ingredients

Matcha latte:

  • 1 teaspoon (4 g) culinary matcha powder
  • ¼ cup (59.15 g) hot water
  • 1-2 teaspoon (4 g) sweetener adjust to taste; can use regular sugar, stevia, agave, honey, etc. I prefer honey!
  • 1 cup (244 g) milk dairy or plant-based. I prefer oat milk

Matcha whipped cream:

  • ¼ cup (59.5 g) heavy cream chilled
  • ½-2 tablespoons (8 g) powdered sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon (4 g) culinary matcha powder plus extra for dusting
  • 1 teaspoon (4 g) vanilla paste or extract; optional

Instructions

Make the matcha latte:

  • In a matcha bowl or medium bowl, sift in 1 teaspoon culinary matcha powder. Pour in ¼ cup hot water.
  • Use your bamboo whisk in M and W motions until mixture is lump-free and frothy. Stir in 1-2 teaspoon sweetener.
  • If you want your latte cold, add ice to your serving cup. If you want it hot, I recommend frothing your milk.
In your serving cup, add 1 cup milk, then add matcha mixture. Set aside while you make the matcha whipped cream.

Make the matcha whipped cream:

  • In a small mixing bowl, add ¼ cup heavy cream, ½-2 tablespoons powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon culinary matcha powder, and 1 teaspoon vanilla (optional). Use whisk to whip until soft peaks. You can also use a frother!
Taste and add more powdered sugar to your liking. If it's too thick, stir in a splash of heavy cream.

Assemble:

  • Dollop matcha whipped cream on top of matcha latte. Enjoy!
