A fun twist on the classic einspanner, my matcha einspanner features a lightly sweetened matcha latte topped with a generous layer of matcha whipped cream! It's simple, delicious, and only takes a few minutes to make!
In a matcha bowl or medium bowl, sift in 1 teaspoon culinary matcha powder. Pour in ¼ cup hot water.
Use your bamboo whisk in M and W motions until mixture is lump-free and frothy. Stir in 1-2 teaspoon sweetener.
If you want your latte cold, add ice to your serving cup. If you want it hot, I recommend frothing your milk. In your serving cup, add 1 cup milk, then add matcha mixture. Set aside while you make the matcha whipped cream.
Make the matcha whipped cream:
In a small mixing bowl, add ¼ cup heavy cream, ½-2 tablespoons powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon culinary matcha powder, and 1 teaspoon vanilla (optional). Use whisk to whip until soft peaks. You can also use a frother!Taste and add more powdered sugar to your liking. If it's too thick, stir in a splash of heavy cream.
Assemble:
Dollop matcha whipped cream on top of matcha latte. Enjoy!
