How to Make Creamy Matcha Cold Foam

Step 1: Add sifted matcha, heavy cream, milk, sweetener, and vanilla (optional) to a jar or tupperware. Shake until fluffy! Alternatively, use a frother.

Step 2: Taste and add more sweetener if needed. If it’s too thick, add more milk. Pour matcha cold foam on top of your drink of choice and enjoy!

Matcha Cold Foam

Equipment
- small bowl or cup
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons (45 g) heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) milk
- 1 teaspoon (2 g) culinary matcha powder
- ½-1 teaspoon (1 g) vanilla paste or extract; adjust to taste
- 1-2 teaspoons (4 g) sweetener adjust to taste! you can use regular sugar, stevia, agave, honey, etc.
Instructions
- Tip: No frother? Add everything to a jar or tupperware, and shake until fluffy!
- In a small bowl or cup, use milk frother to mix 3 tablespoons heavy cream, 2 tablespoons milk, 1 teaspoon culinary matcha powder, and ½-1 teaspoon vanilla until light and fluffy. Add 1-2 teaspoons sweetener, adjusting as needed.
- If the cold foam is too thick, add in a splash of more milk.
- Enjoy! Use it to top your lattes or teas.
Notes
- Storage: I recommend enjoying it as soon as it’s made. However, you can store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. I recommend blending or re-whipping it to fluff it up again!
