Instructions
(1) Use stale bread! This way, it won't clump up in the food processor into a paste, and will blitz into crumbs instead.(2) If using freshly baked bread, tear it up into pieces and let it sit at room temperature for a day or two. OR, dry it out in the oven at 300°F/150°C for 10-20 minutes! Make sure to let it completely cool before food processing.(3) Try using specialty breads for more depth of flavor. For example, rye bread, garlic bread, etc. Just make sure they are fully dry and stale before blending!
Preheat oven to 300°F/150°C. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a food processor, add cubed 1 loaf bread and optional herbs. Pulse until you get fine crumbs.
Transfer entire mixture to lined baking pan. Bake for 10-15 minutes until lightly toasted.
Let completely cool, then transfer to storage container.
