In a matcha bowl or medium bowl, sift in 1 teaspoon culinary matcha powder. Pour in ¼ cup hot water.
Use your bamboo whisk in M and W motions until mixture is lump-free and frothy. Stir in 1-2 teaspoons sweetener.
Add ice to mug and pour in 1 cup milk. Top off with matcha mixture.
For the banana cold foam (option 1):
*Alternatively, add everything into a small blender and blend until smooth and thickened.In a jar or tupperware, use a fork to mash ½ banana until it's a puree consistency.
Add 3 tablespoons heavy cream, 2-3 tablespoons milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Close container and shake until fluffy, about 2-4 minutes!
Taste, adding 1-2 teaspoons sweetener if needed. If it's too thick, add more milk.
For the banana pudding cold foam (option 2):
*No frother? Add everything to a jar or tupperware, and shake until fluffy!In a bowl or cup, use milk frother to mix 3 tablespoons milk, 2 tablespoons heavy cream, 1-2 teaspoons instant banana pudding cream mix, and ½-1 teaspoon vanilla until light and fluffy.
Let it sit for a few minutes, as it will thicken due to the pudding mix. If it's too thick, stir in a splash of milk.
Assembly:
Pour cold foam on top of your matcha and voila! Enjoy!
