This creamy lavender matcha latte will be your new favorite Spring drink—it’s light, refreshing, and delicious! It only takes a few minutes to make and is a great afternoon pick-me-up.
In a matcha bowl or medium bowl, sift in 1 teaspoon culinary matcha powder. Pour in ¼ cup hot water.
Use your bamboo whisk in M and W motions until mixture is lump-free and frothy. Stir in 1-2 teaspoons sweetener.
Add ice to mug and pour in 1 cup milk. Top off with matcha mixture.
For the lavender cold foam:
Tip: No frother? Add everything to a jar or tupperware, and shake until fluffy!
In a cup, use milk frother to mix 1-2 tablespoons lavender syrup and 3 tablespoons heavy creamuntil light and fluffy. Taste and add more syrup or sweetener of choice. If it's too thick, add in a splash of heavy cream or even some milk.
For a nice lavender color, mix in a small amount of <wprm-ingredient uid="17" removed="0">⅕ teaspoon purple sweet potato powder. You can alternatively use purple food coloring.
Assembly:
Pour lavender cold foam on top of your matcha and sprinkle on some dried lavender (optional). Enjoy!
