This iced matcha latte with strawberry cold foam will be your new favorite drink! The recipe card includes two methods to make the strawberry cold foam, in case you do not have a blender on hand.
In a matcha bowl or medium bowl, sift in 1 teaspoon culinary matcha powder. Pour in ¼ cup hot water.
Use your bamboo whisk in M and W motions until mixture is lump-free and frothy. Stir in 1-2 teaspoons sweetener.
Add ice to mug and pour in 1 cup milk. Top off with matcha mixture.
For the strawberry cold foam:
Blender Method:
In a small blender, combine 3 strawberries, 3 tablespoons heavy cream, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1-2 teaspoons sweetener. Blend until smooth, soft, voluminous, and creamy. Add more sweetener if needed.
Top matcha latte with strawberry cold foam and enjoy!
If using strawberry jam (no blender method):
In a mason jar, combine 1-2 tablespoons strawberry jam, 3 tablespoons heavy cream, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Close jar and vigorously shake until the mixture is thick and creamy, about 2-3 minutes. Alternatively, use a frother. Taste and add more jam or sweetener to taste.
Top matcha latte with strawberry cold foam and enjoy!
Notes
If you'd like a hot drink instead, skip the ice and use warm milk instead!
